Our Community Suppers offer a wonderful opportunity to come together over delicious food and delightful company. They provide an excellent avenue for meeting and forging connections with your neighbours. To ensure an intimate gathering, we limit participation to 28 individuals.

Attendees take turns preparing and cooking the meals, keeping them warm using the pub's stove. Those not involved in the cooking contribute through a donation, and any surplus funds are directed toward a local charity selected by the club.

Where we meet

Sweffling White Horse (opened especially for us), by the kind invitation of Mark and Marie.

When we meet (& how often)

The First Thursday of each winter month - all 7.15 pm for 7.30 pm.

Each month, the meal has a theme (usually decided the previous month) - these are listed on the village calendar/whats on-page of this website.

  • Thursday 5th October 2023
  • Thursday 2nd November 2023
  • Thursday 7th December 2023
  • Thursday 4th January 2024

How to get involved

A group email is sent out to those on the list 10 days before the next supper. If you would like to be added to the list, email Kirstin.

If you would like to attend a supper, places are booked by email (to Kirstin) on a first come, first served basis, with offers of cooked dishes warmly welcomed. A donation of £6 a head is asked for those not cooking.
