There are currently no bus routes through Sweffling. Instead, we have 'Coastal Accessible Transport Services' (CATs).

CATs Connected Communities (Bus)

CATS operates three Demand Responsive Bus Services on behalf of Suffolk County Council for rural villages which have no regular bus service to enable you to get to your local hub or to connect to a regular bus service or train service.  These services operate six days a week, from 7 am to 7 pm, can be booked by phone or online and cost the same as it would on a bus.

These services are available to anyone to use, the service must be pre-booked, and bookings can be taken up to 14 days in advance or on the day (subject to availability).  The service could be used for work, study, shopping, appointments, sightseeing or social reasons. These services offer great flexibility allowing you to do journeys that would not normally be offered by a bus service, times to suit you and the security that you have a guaranteed seat. Pick-up points are normally from a bus stop, but if this is not possible due to the rural location or if you need assistance, an alternative pick-up point can be arranged.

To book, go to www.communities.suffolkonboard.com/book-a-journey/suffolk-coastal/ or call 01728 635 938

Connecting Communities fares are based on average bus fare costs for journeys of the same or equivalent distance (01728 830516 /  community.transport@cats-paws.co.uk)

You must be a registered member to use the service, registration is £15 per year. The service is operated using volunteer drivers.

    Return fares are: -
